| This is an introduction to soil science for landscape horticulture applications. Students learn about the physical, chemical and biological properties of soils and growing media. Students will learn how to sample soils and interpret laboratory soil test results; amend soils and apply fertilizers and mulches; as well as identify, evaluate and mix soil-less media for nursery and greenhouse production. |
